Draper, UT- July 26, 2000 Learnframe today announces the AICC
compliance of their recently released Pinnacle Learning Manager™ (PLM)
4.11.
In the burgeoning e-Learning marketplace, standards can help bring order to a fast-growing marketplace. AICC (Aviation Industry CBT Committee) is the most widely accepted courseware standard in the training industry. And, according to International Data Corporation (IDC) the corporate e-learning aspect of the industry will grow to at $11.4 billion by 2003.
While Learnframe supports AICC and other industry standards, its advantage over other learning management systems (LMS) is that Learnframe is not dependant on these standards for complete integration with all types of courseware and learning applications. Learnframe built their AICC compliance with their own patent pending connection technology -- making the AICC connection one of more than 65 available connections, HR Systems and other e-Learning solutions.
According to Troy Wilde, Director of Product Management, becoming AICC compliant is great news for Learnframe customers.
"Learnframe continues to lead the development of this fast-growing industry by supporting industry standards and expanding the open nature of our e-Learning platform," said Wilde.
Building a solution that is AICC compliant is another step in Learnframe's quest to support all existing and upcoming standards.
"People have asked why we need to endorse industry standards when our infrastructure technology is based on open connectivity and our integrations are so easily achieved," said Ron Sanders, Vice President of Marketing and Product Management. "The reason is that many companies are obligated to purchase standards based products - therefore, by being AICC compliant we are simplifying our customer's decision making process and making ourselves available to a much broader market."
According to Learnframe, the PLM has the unique ability to launch, track, manage and measure courses from a wide variety of vendors. "This connection technology allows Learnframe to support a wide variety of standards and vendors," said Wilde. "In architecting and creating this AICC Level One connection, Learnframe read and followed recommended procedure outlined by the
AICC."
